September 6 to October 5, 2024
6 days of training over 3 weekends:
Sept 6, 7, 8, 2024 8:00-4:15 Pacific Time (includes 45 min lunch break), and

October 5, Fall, 2024 9:00-1:45 Pacific Time
In this intensive training, therapists will learn to assess and intervene from a somatic perspective while using EMDR, to enhance the therapy process. Heightened awareness of the functioning of the body and nervous system aids the therapist in pacing the work well. This approach taps into our natural inclination towards completion, integrating and expanding on the EMDR AIP model. Therapists can increase their skills in tracking and developing resiliency, crucial for the many moments in therapy when our clients struggle to stay regulated.
Registration will continue through Sept 5, 2024, or until the maximum number of participants (28) is reached.
There are 4 pre-training videos, between 15-30 minutes, that you will receive the links to after you have registered, a few weeks before your training. These are an important introduction to the work. No CE credits are offered for these videos.
38.5 CE Hours for LCSWs, and for CA LMFTs, LPC’s
24 CE Credits approved by EMDRIA
For details about CE Credit Hours, click here.
Prerequisite: EMDR training. If you do not have prior EMDR training, we will help you make a personalized assessment of your pre-training needs, and offer prior training so you are ready to take advantage of this training.
This training is relevant for beginning through advanced therapists, including Psychologists, LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPC’s and LMHC’s. The content begins with fundamentals of working from a somatic approach with the use of bilateral stimulation and EMDR, and expands into more nuanced tracking and interventions.
Accessing the online training: Be sure to have the strongest internet connection you can secure. Download the most current version of Zoom. The Zoom breakout rooms work best if you use a laptop or desktop computer. The use of tablets can result in difficulties switching into breakout rooms for practicums and exercises.
Registrants will receive emails prior to the training with instructions about how to log into the Zoom meetings each day. The Zoom rooms are open 30 minutes prior to the start of each session.
This training is limited to 28 participants to enhance the personal nature of learning process-oriented work.
Participants will learn and experience how to:
Closely assess momentary levels of activation
Pace the work with attention to resiliency and the “window of tolerance”
Observe dynamics of internal processing not available from client self-reporting
Utilize the power of “sustained awareness”
Work with the inherent dilemmas between drives for completion and protection
Track subtleties of dissociative dynamics
Identify and reprocess early survival strategies
Increase integration of shifts that emerge in each moment of the therapy process
Enhance the experience of existing and new resources
Nurture the development of discernment and self-awareness skills
Foundational to this work is the therapist learning to deeply “trust the process,” and fully engage in the client’s “nature of completion.”
This training includes lecture, presentation and discussion, handouts, video of client sessions, live demonstrations, experiential exercises, and longer practicum sessions with feedback.
$975.00 for 6 days of training ($925 early bird up to 4 weeks before training)
After this training, therapists describe new awareness and practice in their therapy with immediate positive effects. This is a stand-alone training. Further training, consultation and practicum in this approach are available.
