Integrating Somatic Psychotherapy with EMDR Therapy - Calgary
NP Part One – 3 Days In-Person, 4 days Live Interactive Online Training
Pacing the Work, Tracking Resiliency, Deepening Processing
In this 6-day Live Interactive Online training, therapists will learn to assess and intervene from a somatic perspective, while using a more process-orientation to EMDR, to enhance the therapy process. Heightened awareness of the functioning of the body and nervous system aid the therapist in pacing the work well. This approach taps into our natural inclination towards completion, integrating well the use of bilateral stimulation. Therapists can increase their skills in tracking and developing resiliency, crucial for the many moments in therapy when our clients struggle to stay regulated.
EMDR trained therapists will learn expanded ways to build on current skills to be effective across the spectrum of presenting dynamics where a more protocol driven approach may have left you unsure what to do.
Non-EMDR trained therapists - please contact Craig to assess pre-training needs to prepare you for this training. There are pre-training modules that we can fine-tune based on your experience.
Certificates of completion, including jurisdictional CE Credit Hours, are given after completion of course evaluation, at the conclusion of each training.
All sessions must be attended receive CE Credit Hours.
